Penny

A few weeks before Porter was born Tim and Cheri got the cutest Beagle puppy in the whole world and they love her very much. When Porter was born it became very apparent they now had 2 babies, which is very exhausting. So we offered to help with Penny, because we fell for her like a ton of bricks. Hugh and Jenni are very attached to her too and said they will doggy -sit when ever they can. This was a very hard decision for Tim and Cheri to make, but they know we will love her and take good care of her. Plus, she gets to live in sunny SoCal, no snow. We can't wait to take her to the beach, lucky dog!

Porter Maxwell Newhard

On June 26th, the big wait was over. After a very long hard labor by Cheri, Porter arrived at 4AM. Jerry, Jenni, Hugh and I rushed up to Utah and were able to see him when he arrived home. He is a beautiful blend of Tim and Cheri and he holds the keys to all of our hearts. It is all true, being a grandparent is absolutely wonderful. Words can not explain the emotions you have when you watch your child hold their child. It is very profound and totally satisfying. Tim and Cheri are wonderful parents who will keep the chain of love going in our family. Watch out, grandpa Jerry and grandma Linda plan on being really obnoxious with all the baby pictures!

Tim and Cheri's new home

Tim and Cheri have been the busy bees. They moved into their new townhouse in Cedars Hill in mid June. It is really nice, the backyard borders a state park and the front yard has a view of Utah Lake. Now they have to get a lot more furniture to fill it up. There is a golf course right at the end of their street so Jerry and Tim can have some friendly games when we visit. They are also very close to the American Fork Canyon, Mt. Timpanogas Caves and The Sun Dance resort It is a wonderful place to picnic.
